VIEWPOINTS – Do not miss the streaming of Complicite/Simon McBurney’s THE ENCOUNTER, a masterpiece in storytelling and performance

If you have any interest at all in the art of theater or storytelling, I strongly urge you not to miss the streaming (from the Barbican) of Complicite’s production of The Encounter, a one-man show written and performed by artistic director Simon McBurney and based on Petru Popescu’s novel “Amazon Beaming”. I don’t want to divulge any more information, except to say that Mr. McBurney’s performance is simply one of the most astonishing I’ve seen in recent memory. And based on my online viewing of it, it’s also terribly accomplished from a technical standpoint.
